HURT is running L3 Award in Education & Training in the Derry area commencing 6th October!
About this course:
This popular course sets the Gold Standard in training as a trainer. It is designed for those who would like to work towards a teaching or training qualification or to get onto higher qualifications in teaching.
The course will train you how to use your training and teaching more effectively in groups or with individuals. The training will take you through the full process of : Identifying your roles and responsibilities, The learning cycle, Learning Styles, Strategies to overcome barriers to learning, Schemes of work and session plans, Assessment methods and types, How to use visual aids and Student support.
Minimum 19 years old Good reading and writing skills in English. A lot of patience as this is an intensive course. Knowledge of the subject you wish to teach/deliver. Completed Application form. Photographic proof of ID .
Who should do this course:
Individuals who work or want to work in teaching/training, facilitation or further education . Individuals currently working as assessors, who would like to achieve a qualification that introduces them to teaching. Individuals who want an introductory qualification to enable them to make career choices.

Our Celebration Event was a great success! Thanks to all of our participants and their families for coming along and ensuring we had such a great evening. A special thanks to our guests Saoirse-Monica Jackson and Jim Mc Keever who presented the participants with their certificates and to Derry City and Strabane District Council who made the Lead project possible.
Also thanks to Quirky Raven for their delicious food and quality service and to Hollywell Trust for the use of their venue throughout the Lead Project.
Huge thanks to Aideen McGinn for all her musical and performance expertise. Very talented Lead participants entertained the audience on the celebration night. Congratulations to all of our participants on their achievements!
