About this course:

This popular course sets the Gold Standard in training as a trainer.  It is designed for those who would like to work towards a teaching or training qualification or to get onto higher qualifications in teaching.

The course will train you how to use your training and teaching more effectively in groups or with individuals.  The training will take you through the full process of : Identifying your roles and responsibilities, The learning cycle, Learning Styles, Strategies to overcome barriers to learning, Schemes of work and session plans, Assessment methods and types, How to use visual aids and Student support.

Entry Requirements:

Minimum 19 years old  Good reading and writing skills in English.  A lot of patience as this is an intensive course. Knowledge of the subject you wish to teach/deliver. Completed Application form.  Photographic proof of ID .

Who should do this course:

Individuals who work or want to work in teaching/training, facilitation or further education . Individuals currently working as assessors, who would like to achieve a qualification that introduces them to teaching.   Individuals who want an introductory qualification to enable them to make career choices.

What will I get on completion of the course?

You will receive the Level 3 T.Q.U.K. Award in Education and Training (Formerly PTLLS)

Assessment requirements: 

Hours of study 24 Guided Learning Hours (Classroom contact) > Assessment Structure (coursework and presentation).

The courses we run are assessed on an evidence based structure.  This means that a lot of the work is completed throughout the duration of the course and is assessed against the outcomes set for the course.   > The AET has a 30 minute micro teaching session which is conducted in class.
